Laptop, phone, steering wheel, laptop again. By evening your shoulders have crept up to your ears and the back of your neck feels like it's holding a bowling ball. Ten minutes lying back gives it the break your workday never did.
Works the knots a long day at a screen leaves behind

Sound familiar?
You log off at six. Your neck is still at work at nine.
Your shoulders creep up while you type
By 4 p.m. you're rubbing the back of your neck without noticing
You roll your neck and hear it crunch
You stretch, and it helps for about a minute
The NHS lists bad posture, "for example, when sitting at a desk for a long time," among the most common causes of neck pain. Hours bent toward a screen keep the same few muscles braced all day.
The base of your skull and the tops of your shoulders.
Those are the muscles that hold your head up while you look down, all day. Left tight, they're behind a lot of afternoon headaches and shoulders that never come down.
The base of your skull
The World Health Organization describes tension headaches as a band of pressure that can spread "into or from the neck." For a lot of people it starts right here, where your skull meets your neck.
The sides of your neck
Your neck and jaw tighten together. In a US survey of nearly 190,000 people, more than half of those with jaw-joint pain also had neck pain.
The tops of your shoulders
The knots you can press with your fingers. When researchers pressed on knots here, the pain often traveled up into the head, and nearly half of people with chronic tension headaches said it felt exactly like their usual headache.
The switch that won't turn off
A braced neck keeps your body on alert, so you lie down exhausted and nothing lets go. In one controlled study, ten minutes of neck and shoulder massage nearly doubled a measure of relaxation compared with ten minutes of rest.

ThermoKnead™ 3D
It feels like warm hands on your neck, because it's shaped like them.
Most neck massagers are a flat pillow with bumps that roll against the back of your head. Hizoo has two tall prongs that cradle the back and sides of your neck, so the kneading lands where a massage therapist would put their thumbs.
Heat
Warms up to 42°C (107°F), like a hot towel, so tight muscle softens before the kneading gets to it.
Knead
Four nodes press in, circle and switch direction. Three strengths, from gentle to deep.
Stretch
As you lie back, the shape lifts your neck into a gentle stretch while it works.

Questions
About fitting it into a workday.
When's the best time to use it?
Right after work, before the stiffness settles in for the night. Some people also do ten minutes before bed.
Can I use it at my desk?
It works best lying back, so the weight of your head settles your neck onto the prongs. A couch, bed or recliner is ideal.
Will it fix my posture?
It won't change how you sit. It works on the muscles that tighten from how you sit, so they don't carry the whole day into your evening.
What if it isn't for me?
Email support@hizoo.co within 30 days of delivery and we'll send you a return label. Once it's back with us we refund your card, minus $15 for return shipping.
